Bedat Watches

Bédat & Co. is a brand of Swiss watches was founded on October 8, 1996 by Ms. Simone and her son Christian Bédat Bédat.
Born in 1931 in Lugnez near Porrentruy. At age fifteen began his apprenticeship in the factory boxes Lang SA Three years later, he joined the department as head of commercial office, where it will remain for about ten years until it begins to work in the company of watches Camy, in Geneva, where it is converted into the right arm of a gentleman named Raymond Weil, who shortly after take the post of director general.
Upon the death of the owner of Camy, both left the company to join and create, in 1975, the brand Raymond Weil also in Geneva, a company which in 1989 became the 5th house exporter of Swiss watches, whose sales amounted to 130 million Swiss francs. In 1995, Simone Bédat sells stake (24%) to Mr. Raymond Weil and along with his son Christian left the company in July 1996 to found Bédat & Co.
Simone Bédat son, was born on July 21, 1964. After obtaining his license in Economic Sciences in Lausanne in 1987, partly to Hong Kong, where he worked for two years in Eco Swiss China Time to be responsible for the production of Benetton by Bulova watches. In 1990, he joined Raymond Weil, where he worked exercising various responsibilities in the departments of purchasing, production and sales, to the post of Director of Creation, his latest being the W1.
In July 1996, Simone and Christian Bédat be withdrawn from Raymond Weil to found together, the Oct. 8 of that year, the company Bédat & Co. At the Basel Fair 1997, after only six months old, introduced Bédat Christian concept of global brand and also two collections: the No. 3 and No. 7, they get an immediate success.
Christian Bédat, as well as founder of the company, is the designer watches. Imagine the new models and performs with his team of designers and craftsmen who work from Swiss always with him and his mother, Simone Bédat. Each clock Bédat & Co is the fruit of his reflection, his knowledge of the history of watchmaking, their experience and their wishes.
