Betsey Johnson was born on August 10 1942 at Wethersfield, Connecticut is one of the fashion designers best known for its whimsical and feminine designs. In 1967 she married John Cale]. They divorced a year later. She had a daughter, Lulu, in 1975 who now works with her.

She is a survivor of breast cancer and collaborates frequently in campaigns against cancer, demonstrating their bravery and straightens.

The career of Johnson began when she won a competition which enjoyed high prestige within the world of fashion. In less than a year, Johnson became the designer of a small shop in trendy Manhattan, The Paraphernalia.

In 1969, she opened her own fashion shop called Betsey Bunki Nini in the neighborhoods of East New York. In años’70, Johnson took command of the fashion brand “Alley Cat”.
