Burberry is a British fashion brand luxury clothing manufactures and other gadgets. His distinctive it has become one of the most copied trademarks. The company has shops in the world, and is also sold in department stores. The mark also controls a catalog business and has a line of fragrances. Both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince of Wales issued to mark the title Producer Real. The Director of Design today is Christopher Bailey.
Burberry was founded in 1856 when Thomas Burberry of 21 years (1835 – 1926), a former fellow apprentice, opened his own store in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. By 1870 the business had been focused on the development of clothing for the outdoors. In 1880 Thomas Burberry invented gabardine, breathable fabric, in which the wire is waterproofed before being woven. The gabardine was patented in 1888. Burberry was the original name, but then quickly switched to Burberrys, after many customers around the world began to call the Burberrys of London. This name is still visible in many old Burberry products.
In 1891 Thomas Burberry opened an office in Haymarket, London, which still exists and is the headquarters of the central office of Burberry. In 1904, the Gruppo Equestrian Knight was developed containing the Latin word “Prorsum” which means forward and registered. In 1911 became the suppliers for Roald Amundsen, the first man to reach the South Pole, and Ernest Shackleton, who in 1914 led an expedition to cross Antarctica.
